Review of Hobbit Battle of five armies

Got a lot of new fantasy movies in theaters these days.Went to see Hobbit LEGIT, could have bootlegged it. In fact I have the hobbit on my computer and watch it once in a while.

Battle of Five Armies, what can I say about it. It's definitely worth the price of admission. I went to see it last night after work. Had to, I kick my self in the butt for not saving the ticket stubs to all the Lotr movies I saw when they came out. Now I'm wiser and so I saved the ticket I got for this movie and x-men days of future past although I should have truly kept my stubs for matrix, xmen etc.

The thing about me that you have to know about is how much of a pack rat I am. Always have been a HUGE collector of toys and memorabilia. Like Harry from Aicn, we're brothers from another mother, I'm a nerdy geek comic book retard fucktard same as he is.

Same as a lot of us nerd boys are truth be told...

I still got A LOT of old happy meal and burger king toys from back in the old 90s. I seriously have all that shit still. Don't even know why, but it's all inside of a suit case in the garage. I even got that cloud city toy from burger king when they re-released star wars in 97. I'm more happy about having that than I am about having the tickets to the fucking shitty prequel movies.

Got tons of toy story toys from back in the day too. They're still trying to make toy story stuff for today's kids, but you HAVE to have been there when that movie came out for the first time and it blew up all our 90 kids brains out of our skulls, it was a phenomenon and the toys that came out to coincide with a movie about toys, was just amazing shit.

I was truly impressed with the toys they made for toy story when I was a kid and fell in love with the movie.

I can't say I'm too fond of the newer toy story movies etc. They're not int the same league as the original primarily because that time has passed and we're all no longer kids, we're just kinda arrested in a state where we're hanging on to the glory of the 90s but that time isn't here now. We have to let it go and shit...

So what can I say about the movie in case anyone cares what some fanboy thinks about big epic peter jackson cinema.

It's a far better film than it has any right to be that's for sure. You can tell once smaug is taken down, there's no movie left. They had to find out how to make a movie after the entire fucking threat in the film has been taken down.

The movie then becomes a political film from this point forward. It's about the complexities of greed, war, and honor. Thorin struggles with his own corrupted soul at the end of the movie. There's a lot of sad scenes where characters we've gotten to know for so long are taken down. This is the empire strikes back of the hobbit films I dare say. This is where everything goes to shit for all the characters. It's really a sad ending to the film, nothing really ends, this is the prelude to the LOTR movies prettymuch. The ending is nothing but winks to the beginning of Lotr.

But it's a hell of a good film. And not too much fanboy jerking off in it. Except for Legolas being all over this one. This was the LAST time Orlando Bloom would play Legolas FOREVER, so they had him get a hell of a lot of screen time, problem is, he's got NOTHING to do with anything going on in the story, so him being so up front and center so much doesn't really make much sense and reeks of fanservice.

Anyway go see it, and that other fantasy movie 7th son, watched a bit of that before going to see Lotr, was like damn this is some good shit right here. where'd this motherfucker come from?

Alright, that's all I got to say about that...
