Got into the groove

I'll be honest, I have been doing art for a very long time, all my life but it's still daunting to struggle with the stuff even with my decades of experience. And true I don't and have never really done high contrast style ever. Here's the result of my experiment with it. Of course I'll finish it up and make it better but this was very close to what I envisioned. Proud of the determination to complete it I had

I'm going for a real pop-art old school sin city style with these ones. Lots of monochormatics if that makes sense...

Might blur out shonuf in the back and apply a smudgy effect to make it look more like a blast of light from the back.

Need to also fudge out and fix Leroy some more. As you can kinda see it's got that african sculpture look to it, not intentional but I guess since I was having african vibes in me as I did it it just came through... don't know... Still figuring this stuff out and it's not even at the resolution I intented, weird programs I'm dealing with but how much does res matter in the end, I don't even know... I mean it's important when you want to display it in 4k without it being zoomed in too much...

Ok, so that's it, good expermental bit and did make mistakes and learned more about tablet sketch art which has its hurdles to overcome if you're used to traditional style. And I simply find it annoying to have the damn pallet obscurring the screen as I go along... sucks. but it's possible to get it done I guess... got to agree with Jim Lee though. Paper's just more personal. Like I don't have to worry about the computer drawing crap I didn't intend to, it's got a mind of its own or something...

gonna work on the harder collage I guess monday or whatever... then we'll get the easy peasy ones done... see ya then.
