Captain America First Assvirgin or whatever

I don't know much about the avengers except that they're a poor man's x-men. So fuck that shit.

I have to write about the new cap trailer and the current lukewarm reaction to it that's been flooding the net.

shiiiiiit, I love captain America first of all. My dad was in the military, cap's a soldier, couldn't be more my kind of guy. Having been in the military though??? eh...

It's like this... You sign that paper during recruitment, the military owns you, every last inch of you. There's nothing glamorous about it, freedom might be what you're fighting for, but you don't have it.

So how the fuck is captain america able to go about his business and not have the army up his ass... that'll be interesting to see. I think he just personifies American ideals, perhaps america itself, in that he's willing to be brave, honest, patriotic, and heroic when times get tough. Everything the military claims to be, but from my experience, isn't. They're very much a cult of self-centered jocks and strangely religious even though their job is to do the worst things imaginable.

Of course I know the movie will sugar-coat the mil and put them in the best light, as that was what cap was created for in the first place, to be a propaganda tool, but he's more than that to me. Like I said, he embodies the spirit of America, land of the free and home of the brave. He'd kick ass even without the super soldier serum. He's like marvel's super man, using his incredible powers for the right reasons. But even more than that he's not invincible, and still won't be deterred.

I like that he was a little scrawny soldier, of which I trained with in the airforce, they had a guy in there much like a shrimpy steve rogers for some reason, I guess to be the runt of the liter and make us feel tougher, but yeah, goddamnit Steve was still a proud american no matter what, willing to die for his rights etc. So he signed up for the cap program, and it's because he remembers how weak and helpless he was that he's willing to use his powers to help those who are just as unfortunate as he was. That's why I like that line in the trailer, says everything you need to know about who cap is.

Now how about the reality though. If indeed he's a soldier, he's not going to move an inch without say-so. The military WILL have a guy follow your every move. Why is cap allowed to be all free and shit. I guess he's got clout... I don't know. Maybe they respect him for being a key part of their success, though I know for sure you can move mountains for the mil, and they won't care...

But yeah, I mean, he's more of a legitimately respected member of the armed forces more than a vigilante. But he's nobody's bitch either. I guess he's like a colonel, I hope they put him as a higher ranker in the movie, make it because he's smart, just lacked the physical requirements, then it'll make sense why he's able to be more free than a typical soldier.

And I hope they make him a good guy, which is what they hint at in the trailer. The mil has its shitload of morons who want to kill and fuck and nothing more. Make Cap above that, please. It's like how I'm a ramp agent, I load bags and crap, Cap on the other hand is a pilot, nigga flies the plane from one end of the world to the other and people respect him... Yeah, you know what, he's like a pilot in the military. I talked to one, he was just chillin cuz he knew he'd not be the guy holding a gun in iraq, just drop a bomb and go home to his wife.

And jesus christ, this movie loses points for pussing out and dropping the America title in countries that don't like America. BOO HOO... What a brave and free country we are that cares more about money than showing the world we're not afraid of their prejudices. This is exactly what captain america DOESN'T represent, yet the studio's full of limp dicked girly-men no doubt.

oh well. Oh and lastly, the cast. Well, I'm neither for or against their choice of chris evans. He looks like the proper cap (brad pitt) stunt double to me. We'll see if he's got the right stuff for this american icon.
