NO...
I've been alive a long time. With that comes tons of experience as a side effect. Yes I'm 30, honestly don't have an issue with it, it means I don't have to live in the random crapshoot of the childhood universe anymore and can kinda find a balance point in my life or something. I don't know, I'm figuring it out as I go along prettymuch...
But yeah I've seen ghostbusters before.
And as much as I want this movie to be a spring board towards more cool ghostbusters stuff, it's like the studio wants to impede that at every turn.
I mean there's just no hiding the fact of what this movie is, a shameless and soulless cash grab using the ghostbuster name. The characters aren't standing on their own in the trailers. They're simply waving a flag around with the ghostbuster logo on it and saying COME SEE THIS MOVIE it's got the ghostbuster logo all over it, must be the same thing as the orignals...
That's so pathetic, it hurts to watch them sell the movie like that. The new cast is so repellant and terrible, I don't want to see the movie because they make my eyes hurt and ears hurt...
God, I wish they gave us a better ghostbuster movie. It would be so damn great to get back in it as a ghostbuster fan again and just have a hell of a time.
But it's like trying to get back into home alone fandom with fucking home alone 3, not gonna happen. Trying to be a scooby doo fan when all you get is those shitty movies, not gonna happen. Trying to be a fan of batman again with batman and robin...
It's so sad to see the ghostbuster fan base twisting and turning up their own assholes to contort enough to make this new movie look any kind of good, but what can I do about it...
Truly nothing. I can't change the world. It'll come out, do well enough and maybe we'll get a sequel. Maybe the new cartoon will be a homage to the original. WHO da hell knows. I just didn't want ghostbusters to not only die after a lackluster sequel, but truly shoot itself in the balls with a really flat shitty remake... that's just overdoing it...
