Not only because of Rosario Dawson, although that's prettymuch the reason, but because it makes more sense and actually follows from the first film!!!
I was just thinking about it right now. Damn, what a sorry way to end Men in Black with that half assed 3rd film. They made it, they bulldozed their way through it and made it, but it still sucks ass.
I don't even know where to begin with the time travel paradoxes and contradictions. None of that shit made sense.
But strange isn't it. They go to some weird harry knowels guy to get the time machine. What about Geebs? Does he not still exist? He was in the second movie from what I remember? Why didn't they go to him, blow his head off and get the time machine from him? That's where they got the de-neuralizer from to re-incorporate K's memories to give the first film's brilliant ending a giant middle finger.
GOD do I hate the men in black film series. What a waste of potential.
Yeah, it hurts to think about what could have been under better more intelligent directing and writing.
I declare Men in Black stops after the first film. I was there when this whole mess was getting started with the second film. No one thought it would be a bad idea to make a sequel, we all wanted it. But then it turned out to be a joke. And the third film is an even worse idea though admittedly it's better than the second film but not by much and it took much longer to come up with.
Shit decisions going on with these "do or die" sequels. If I had it my way I'd ban them. No more DO or Die sequels. I give it to the new Star wars Trilogy since the prequels were such a mess. This is a necessary evil the new trilogy. But no more. Don't make a movie because the original cast is still breathing. Worst kind of decision.
