Thawtz on the lukewarm reaction to Alien Covenant

Shit... was not expecting this.... people are more or less split on the film right down the center... As usual there's the extreme hyprobolic reactions of love it, hate it... all that aside, the more balanced reviewers are saying the movie is flawed but ok...

so it's Prometheus...

That's shocking to me. I mean i didn't think it'd be another prometheus. I was hoping it'd be a home run hit.

Movies today cost fucking 15 dollars to go see one... I don't know what happened to the mattinee discount.

I go to the movies early in the morning and it's still expensive. I don't know if I should go pay money to see this flick anymore.

And movie hopping has become harder these days. I used to movie hop all day years in the past, or if I had an hour to kill before my movie started, I watched another movie. But super-ushers who want their extra bonus 2 dollars or whatever, fucking hunt down movie hoppers cuz they're going to get a pat on the back from the boss!!

Yep, happened twice to me, getting hounded and stalked by douche bag minimum wage movie crew people, FOR WHAT? Don't want me getting my money's worth and actually seeing 15 dollars worth of movies, plus the expensive as shit popcorn and soda.

I usually bring my own food to movies cuz hell no i'm not buying a 100 dollar bucket of popcorn... then one day this douche at the theater asks to search my bag when i go see logan... he didn't, cuz he was a retard... and was trying to look more important than he is i guess... don't know... don't care...

This culture of paranoia after the dark night rises shooting, the bullshit going on in society, it's got to stop... What's happening when going to check out a different movie for a bit is a federal crime...

Yeah the whole Social Justice Warrior epidemic is way out of hand these days, sad to say.... Grit your teeth and take a lick, that's the way i was raised, no one gives you anything, gotta fight for it, etc... When did we become a nation that expects a mint on its pillow every day.

As for Alien Covenant, I don't have the money... I've been watching reviews like a madman trying to get word on it being the bomb, it's not happening. Every review is split on it. Every one...

Damn... Should I spend money on this shit?
