Further thawts on the Han Solo Movie Debacle

I think about it often now, why after all the good vibes and cheerful pre-movie stuff did it all fall apart.

Reports are that it was just stubbornness. Lord and Miller didn't budge on their intentions to do things their way when ordered to stick to the script.

I'm going to wildly guess, they gave Lucasfilm a giant middle finger and said if you don't like it, we're gonna walk and your movie is boned.

I don't want to think Kennedy is that ruthless, but MAYBE, maybe she let them work for months and decided to drop the bomb on them NOW to dig the knife in deeper.

So tragic... I actually predicted all this shit. Did I not cite back to the future?

Who is Ron Howard and why does he deserve to make this movie? He does have a much greater more intimate history with Lucas and Ford than the Lord and Miller can EVER begin to dream of, that will benefit the film, yes.

So yeah, this movie will be as if Lucas himself was directing it, take that any way you want. Ron practically is like Lucas' son. That's what we're getting now, it's s if Lucas' freakin offspring was making a star wars movie.

That's an exciting premise... However, Ron Howard doesn't have an ounce of flare to his directing. It's straight down the middle, bland, unexciting, normal stuff.

What I wanted from Lord and Miller was their shoot from the hip directing style, the way they would amp it up for visual flare now and then. They know how to work a camera for maximum visual power... We will not get that from Ron Howard...

But he may surprise us. This is a man who was there, working with Lucas himself. Got into directing because of Lucas most likely, we'll goddamn see. I beg him to actually grow a pair of fucking balls and do something new and exciting with this shit. Don't Ron Howard this movie...
