thoughts on mary poppins 2

So disney's going to make this.

Is it because I requested they do. I hope so. I'll be totally honest. Mary Poppins is and was my life as a kid. I unabashedly love that movie, that and bambi. It's such a film that trancends its sugary apparance to be much much more than the surface. There's A LOT more going on in the film similar to the wizard of oz, it's one of those VERY deep clever films that's in the guise of some kids movie. I mean I just felt deep down that there was a much more complex serious meaning to the film than it showed...

Well they're going to make a part 2. My personal dream is that Dick Van Dyke plays some role in it as an old burt or if this takes place not long after the first movie, then he'll play some other role but at least he'll be in both of them. He taught me to dance, as you may have noticed, I dance because of him. I emulated everything he did as a kid. I wanted to be him.

Now he's like 90 and he will be gone soon... so if they make this movie they better get going, FAST.
