This is aggravating. It's like why's college such a place where guys are going nuts and shooting everybody. Not that I give a damn. I'm never stepping foot in college ever again cuz it's obsolete. I can get all the same knowledge on piratebay if I wanted to. Why pay thousands for it?
If you have a kid and you are worried about them surviving college without getting filled with bullets on the way out of class, by all means look into an online university and let them get it through the web. We DO NOT live in the 1950s. The college system COULD all be revamped to basically work as an online course except for select on hand subjects, but that's about it... We have ebooks, wonderful tutorial videos on youtube, hell I think at some point years from now NO ONE will ever step foot in a class room.
Kinda sacrilegious, yes, tradition is tradition, but the internet has truly changed the playing field. Going to some school full of horny roudy young people will become a thing of the past.
I just don't understand the trend to simply go to college a safe haven from the real world and have guns pointed at you. Makes no sense. And on top of that, I'd expect at college you feel a sense of belonging to the upper crust since once you get through that stuff you'll make a hell of a lot of money. Why the drama? Don't understand it...
