Boom Day

It is what it is, I've been struggling to get through this film and it's demanding, more work especially since I'm the only one making it... today was a lot of work to figure out the complexity of the shots, but compared to the stuff I've done prior, not as hard, just annoyingly tedious. Did the best I could do before losing the sun light. Got shots of the game gear as my character Boom discusses Static's Power Level with his mini pocket computer. One scene I just decided to do, it's not particularly good or makes much sense but I thought it'd be spicy so I decided to do it. Had ideas for how to get it done. Put some green tape over the game gear screen then just after effects in some content onto the screen later. Then I had an idea, just use my cell phone to be the game gear screen. Been opening up consoles and portable gaming devices all my life, necessary if you want to keep them dust free and functional, and if you like modding in the psp's case. Like I replaced buttons for austhetic purposes one time, fixed shit that broke etc...

So I popped open my game gear I bought back in college, yep. I had money from my job at target, couldn't pass up a chance to own a game gear which I NEVER did, wanted to have one for bragging rights. It worked fine when I got the damn thing, can't turn on now. I would have been fine if it actually just turned on and stayed on, would have shot teh scene with an authentic looking game boy glow to it despite nothing being on the screen... Well, it's awesome anyway what I decided to do. I spent a little time creating a video with proper demensions to display behind the game gear screen, then shot the scene holding my cell under the game gear empty top shell and it looks spot on as if it was real. Came out best I could do as it was a struggle to get a proper angle and had to reshoot it a ton, but it works... I'm not going to go back and do it again, I'm confident I got it.

Not actually much left to shoot. Problem is I need to be in good shape for the final blast moment. I can't do it as I look like crap right now, and have to drop these pounds fast. So yeah. Another day of Instafart tomorrow to secure enough money for a good long while and then it's onwards to kinda kick my own ass to losing this weight and getting in shape...
