Dude broke his ankle on some basketball game today too, weird man. I know why that happens. Not to fully blame him but he doesn't work his ankle area enough to build up strength to avoid that. I've encountered similar issues when I'm doing stunt jumps and running or whatever now at 31. My balance is off these years, and I have weak ankles. So I did indeed bend my ankle inwards one day doing some action. Not to the point where it stayed that way, but it went in shredding the muscle fibers up in the process... Luckily my acrobatic instincts kicked in and I somehow shifted my body weight off of my ankle to not fully screw it up, but it HURT like a FUUUUUCK for a long time after and took forever to heal. I was in a state where I had to just limp every where for a few days. And could not do any of the action scenes for static. Then again just a few days ago I did the same thing almost, this time my body learned to reflexively jump with my left foot and avoided the same injury as last time. But yeah if my ankle muscles were stronger landing on your ankle you'd have plenty of resistance to the force of your leg wanting to snap your foot off. This guy doesn't train his feet for landings and learned his lesson the hard way, you have to if you play basketball. Have to...
Don't know how players these days keep snapping their legs like this. Got to pay attention to the legs not just the arms and upper body. Even I know this crap...
Anyway, poor bastard didn't expect to snap his shit off practically and I feel so bad for the guy. Hope they pumped him full of pain killers as he was in a state of pure pain from that. When it's an injury that's just bent but not an open wound, the body reacts with a WTF response because the limb is still attached just not properly so it's screaming in pain, he was in hell after that moment. That's all it takes is one split second to send the body into hell. Cherish the day of peace that you have everyone. It could be a lot worse.
